01
Arusha to Tarangire to Karatu
Morning pickup from Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park. You spend the middle of the day on a game drive along the Tarangire River, a strong area for elephant, giraffe and lion.
In the late afternoon you drive up to the highland town of Karatu, gateway to the Ngorongoro Crater, for the night.

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
An early breakfast, then descent into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day of game viewing on the caldera floor, lion, elephant, hippo, flamingos and, with luck, the endangered black rhino.
Picnic lunch at the hippo pool, then climb back out of the crater and drive to Arusha for airport drop-off.
